STUDIO / BROOKLYN

Alex Krueger works with blown, kiln-cast, fused, painted, and assembled glass. The work is built through fragments that remain distinct while becoming part of a larger object.
Earlier figurative and symbolic work gradually shifted toward abstraction, with painting continuing to shape the use of color, gesture, layering, and composition. Seams, gaps, changes in density, and evidence of construction are kept visible rather than concealed.
The studio also maintains an active fabrication practice. That technical work—prototyping, production, assisting, and solving material problems—feeds back into the sculptural practice by keeping process and construction central.
